VICTORIAN CELEBRATION

On December 10, 2007, the British Memorial Garden Trust, Inc. held its fifth annual Victorian Celebration in Hanover Square. There were carols sung by the Choir of Trinity Church, hot cider and cookies, and a magnificent tree lit by actor Jim Dale and Deputy General-Consul Jon Benjamin.

The trees in Hanover Square were alight with holiday cheer courtesy of Beekman Estate, the Witkoff Group and the Downtown Alliance. The Christmas tree was donated by Isabel Carden.

A reception at adjacent India House Club followed the tree-lighting. It featured more caroling, a reading from “A Christmas Carol” by Jim Dale, a silent auction and much good cheer.
